1. Avoid sedentary life style. This is one of the prime reasons for increase in incidence of obesity among people. Try to lead an active life everyday with some amount of physical activity. Even in work place try to keep moving. To climb stair etc. try to avoid lift if possible.
2. Sleep well and try to reduce mental tension to facilitate proper physiological function. Sound sleep provides recovery and refreshment of tired body physiology and mind. Right physiology and function of body is a natural control over obesity.
3. Do not eat food or consume unnecessarily like in between work to lunch to supper etc. i.e. avoid eating at frequent intervals. In the frequent eating we consume more food than we do in eating at sessions with large four hour gaps.
4. Avoid stress, by breathing exercises and other mental techniques. Because a recent scientific thought is that one tends to eat unnecessarily due to tension termed as Binge eating disorder which can induce obesity and heavy weight.
5. Have a regular exercise daily. This helps to burn out excess and unnecessary calories, provides flexibility in body movement eases blood flow to all the regions in the body and also strengthen muscles. These all help in control body weight.
6. Avoid junk food and soft beverages like coke etc. because they have a high amount of calories and less nutrition. High calories or carbohydrates are reason for rise in body weight.

8. Have fibrous foods like plantains and fruits as these helps in clearing of gut and also remove fatty content from food before being absorbed into blood and body.
9. Include more amounts of protein rich foods than carbohydrate and fatty foods. Of course you also need a sufficient amount of carbohydrates for energy. Protein rich foods aid in muscle stiffness contrary to loose body mass or tissue in over weight cases.
10. Check your body nature and its response to various consumables. Try to stop that consumable for what you feel you put on weight. Sometimes even water can put on weight. For other’s some other consumables may be the reason for obesity.
