How to control high blood pressure:

By exercise: Exercises are good work outs for muscles and helps regulate their tone there by keep them fit in function. Similarly blood vessels have muscles which maintain their contractile nature and there by regulate blood pressure.

By stress free mind: Many of them with mental stress and anxiety suffer from high blood pressure. These people can get rid of blood pressure by mind relaxation like breathing exercise, good sleep and positive thoughts.

By decrease in salt consumption: Salt consumption is a part of food as i is added in foods for better taste. High salt intake increases blood volume due to its ability to retain water inside the body. So reduction in salt intake reduces blood volume and there by high blood pressure.

Decrease consumption of oil and fat rich foods. Oily foods enhance cholesterol formation which in turn hardens the blood vessels leading to lack of elasticity and alteration in blood pressure. So control of cholesterol levels is important to lower blood pressure.

By Blood Pressure control machines:

Ex: Zona plus. This is a handy machine which a person requires to exercise with his hands. Regular use has shown to reduce blood pressure. Though this is approved by FDA recently for use by the public still there are mixed responses in its effectiveness.

Following these methods besides normal medicine to check high BP has advantage that accidental irregularity in taking medicine will not lead to abrupt rise in BP. Further in people whose system is not completely prone to high blood pressure these methods help in lowering of BP.
