Past Indian economy:
In the past the Indian society relied heavily on agriculture for livelihood and to some extent businesses. But with change in time economic and climatic changes, the agriculture sector was left off due to low-income, heavy investment and inability to cope with harsh labor condition in farming. Even presently people with resources like good river and underground water supply want to possess lands only with the intention to get rents out of them but have no interest to cultivate them.
Present conditions: Even the adulteration and falsehood have risen to a very high levels in terms of seeds, pesticides, manures, food product out put. Though everyone seems to neglect them, the bad after effects are already rampant as seen by rise in diseases and disorders. Many even use vitamins and mineral drugs daily for proper health which were once obtained from natural food sources in the past.
In busyness sector, we had pottery, trade of food grains, jewelry and import of any resources not available at a location. These have been replaced to a great extent with businesses like education, health business, hotel (sale of food and shelter), travel, utilities like telephone, television, radio,software etc.. These businesses have changed the public life enormously to an extent that everyone tries to adopt them for survival and are mostly addicted to them. Thus unable to stay without them and the revenues generate are unlimited. Moreover these businesses are harmful to the surrounding nature and none cares. Even the government officials cannot indulge into the matter as they give up for corruption.
But many compaies consider to invest money in India as good business due to heavy demand for goods and huge population.
Students and youth: They are trying to adopt to the system so that they can get into better jobs which provide handsome salary for better lifestyle. Hence many courses like MBA, MCA, hotel management, bioinformatics etc.. have arisen with focus to cater students demand for professional and monetarily beneficial jobs. They are reluctant to study something for interest or passion but just to make earnings in a short time.
The cities have grown big and enormous while villages have the low population. Though it seems that everyone earns sufficiently, the amount which one can save is minimum and not sufficient to bear future expenses as they rise suddenly by many folds.
