Piles is one of the most painful and also embarrassing health conditions a person can ever experience. Less intake in water can dehydrate the mucous layer of large intestine and rectum and there by lead to hardness of bowels or stool and get put pressure on the delicate mucous layer of rectum leading to bleeding, inflammation etc. So when a person with piles consumes sufficient water, there will be quick relief from symptoms as seen in many cases.

Diet is next important cause. Low fibrous diet, diet which can enhance inflammation like fried food, meat, chicken etc. are also cause of piles.

Irregular bowel habits and lack of physical activity and exercise can also be causative factors for piles.
